Killin Time Racing (KTR), the brand made famous by multi-time doorslammer champion Stevie “Fast” Jackson, has added a key element in its plan to elevate their team to the next level.
KTR has hired respected engine builder Bob Reinhardt to spearhead their in-house engine development division. His wealth of knowledge and expertise in the intricacies of engine building and development KTR feels is crucial in their objective to drive further growth and enhance their dominance in the fast doorslammer racing scene.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bob into our expanding family,” KTR General Manager Don O’Neal said. “His extensive understanding of engines and development makes him the perfect candidate to lead our engine building and development department, serving both our in-house requirements and our ever-expanding customer base. With his invaluable engine and R&D experience, we are well-equipped to capitalize on the unprecedented growth potential in fast door-slammer racing.”
Reinhardt brings to the team and experienced resume having previously spent 13 years at Sonny’s Racing Engines as their main Pro Stock engine builder, providing track and dyno support. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in the development of MMP’s G.M. Hemi engine. He branched out on his own in business, but it was the lure of drag racing that brought him back. In 2011, he made a comeback by participating in the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol, running V. Gaines’ Pro Stock 500 C.I. program.
Reinhardt’s passion for racing further led him to take on the role of manager at Madcap Racing Engines, where he achieved remarkable success in expanding their sportsman engine program.
“I am incredibly thrilled to be a part of KTR and return to professional-level racing,” Reinhardt said. “I am grateful for this opportunity to contribute to fast-door car racing and setting records.”
