The details are still largely unknown, but apparently, a car struck the starting line at Jackson Dragway in Jackson, Tenn.

Who the driver is or his condition is unknown. Witness have confirmed the driver was airlifted from the scene.

There are a lot of rumors floating around, but not a lot of verified facts.

What we can tell you is that as two Pro Modified cars were preparing to stage, a streetcar traveling at a high rate of speed from the top end plowed into the starting line. Witnesses at the scene say the driver was knocked unconscious in the incident. There’s no update on his condition. No one standing on the starting line or close by was injured.
