JEGS NHRA NORTH CENTRAL DIVISION SUPER QUICK SERIES CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON

The JEGS NHRA Super Quick Series will celebrate its 30th season in 2018 with a 7-race schedule set to cross the NHRA North Central Division. The series will open at Gateway Motorsports Park in St. Louis on April 7-8 and concludes at the NHRA Fall Classic National Open at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis on October 13-14. New this year will be two double header events at Gateway Motorsports Park and Kil-Kare Dragway with a winner to be crowned each day.

The JEGS NHRA Super Quick Series is the longest running eighth-mile touring racing series in the country with the year-end champion crowned on points earned at their best 5 of the 7-race 2018 series events. Each of the past several seasons have produced exciting finishes in the chase for the points championship with Mike Eggleston’s title last year not decided until the last race of the year at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Based off the poll done on the North Central Division Facebook page the class will continue to be based off a minimum dial of 4.50. All races for 2018 will be 32 car qualified fields.

Once again top qualifiers will be battling it out to earn a berth in the year-end Quick Fuel Technology Super Quick Shootout, a special race-within-a-race as part of the season
finale at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. The season’s top eight qualifiers make up the shootout field based on qualifying points with 32 points awarded to the number one qualifier down to 1 point for the 32nd qualifier at each of the series events leading up to the final event in Indy.
