Icons attract icons, and at this weekend’s Charlotte four-wide event, two of them are paired together for what they hope is a grand presentation.
HendrickCars.com, the online brand for NASCAR Hall of Famer Rick Hendrick’s automotive retail enterprise, and John Force Racing partnered for a four-race, primary sponsorship of Brittany Force and her Chevrolet Top Fuel dragster.
HendrickCars.com will also be an associate sponsor of the Funny Car entries for team patriarch, owner John Force and Austin Prock. The partnership begins this weekend at the 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte. It extends to the events at Virginia Motorsports Park (June 21-23), Charlotte (Sept. 20-22), and the Texas Motorplex (Oct. 10-13), the latter two being part of the NHRA’s “Countdown to the Championship.”
“I’m honored to have HendrickCars.com as a partner and be the first to bring them to the Top Fuel category in NHRA,” said Brittany Force, a two-time NHRA Top Fuel champion.” Charlotte is home to Hendrick Automotive Group and Hendrick Motorsports, so to debut the car here is pretty cool.”
HendrickCars.com’s foray into drag racing includes five-time Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson, the winningest driver in Pro Stock history with 104 victories.
A well-kept secret for the 306-time NASCAR Cup winner with 14 Cup Series championships – his passion for motorsports began in drag racing.
“I love drag racing. It’s where I found a love for motorsports, going to the local dragstrip with my dad and competing in my ’31 Chevy,” said Rick Hendrick, chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group. “I have been a fan of John and his family for a long time, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to partner with Brittany and Chevrolet. I know they will be terrific representatives for the HendrickCars.com brand.”
Brittany understands the gravity of the partnership.
“It’s an honor and pleasure to work with Rick Hendrick and HendrickCars.com on this partnership,” John Force said. “I’ve known and admired Rick for a long time. He sets the standard when it comes to excellence and success in motorsports.”
“I’m thrilled and excited for my daughter and hope our team can bring home a ‘Wally’ winner’s trophy this weekend for HendrickCars.com and John Force Racing.”
