ENCORE : 2019 WORLD POWER WHEELSTANDING CHAMPIONSHIPS - THE VIDEO

The best way to describe Byron Dragway's World PowerWheelstanding Championships is the event carries the same logic as Red Bull's FlugTag competition. If you're not familiar, the FlugTag is where contestant after contestant construct improbable flight machines which they fly off of a cliff and crash into the water below.

WILD VIDEO - DRAG RACING'S GREATEST SAVE?

Every year Byron Dragway hosts its version of organized chaos otherwise known as the World Power Wheelstanding championships. Unfortunately for Chicagoland Super Stock racer Steve Coash, he emptied the contents of his engine on the track but the save of the classic Mopar skidding through the oil is as savage as it gets.

FUNNY CAR CHAOS CULMINATES A LIFE-LONG PASSION FOR FLOPPERS

The Book of Proverbs clearly states, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

The impact of Funny Cars on a day at the races with his Dad, in the late-1980s, had a profound effect on Chris Graves. So much so, three decades later he's made them a central focus of his life.

LEGENDS: THE SERIES - PREVIEW FOR THE LEGEND OF WHIT BAZEMORE

Whit Bazemore is a love him or hate him kind of guy. There's no middle ground.

For the kid growing up outside of Atlanta, Ga., a budding photography talent was the means to an end. He got his first job shooting for drag racing's major sponsor, the RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and parlayed his clout as an excellent lensman into an opportunity to drive a fuel car. There was no easy road to stardom as he learned the hard way.

Check out this brief preview where the song fits Bazemore, "Who do you Love?" or "Who do you love to hate?"

LEGENDS: THE SERIES - THE LEGEND OF WHIT BAZEMORE

Whit Bazemore lived the Hollywood script he could never have imagined writing as a teenaged photographer.

Almost overnight, Bazemore became Winston's go-to photographer for NHRA drag racing. Soon, though, his dream to be on the other side of the lens as a driver became an obsession. He paid his dues to advance climb the ranks from Top Alcohol Funny Car to nitro burners.

And in a case of something truly coming full circle, he eventually landed Winston as his team's sponsor. Bazemore would go on to win 20 NHRA national events - and a spot in the latest installment of CompetitionPlus.tv's "Legends" series. If you like a rags-to-riches kind of story, here's one that takes the cake.

LIVING THE AMERICAN DREAM WITH A STICK-SHIFT NOVA

Distance is only a number, just ask Dan Williams.

Williams, a drag racer from the United Kingdom, had his 1969 Nova shipped from the United Kingdom so that he could race in this year’s A/Stock Challenge, class eliminations for the top of the line for conventional Stockers at the NHRA U.S. Nationals.

VIDEO FEATURE - BURNELL RUSSELL TAKES A NITRO RIDE

Burnell Russell only wanted to understand better what his sons felt from a Top Fuel car.

Saturday, September 7, 2019, Burnell not only felt what his son, the late Darrell Russell, did when he was a passenger on a pass down the drag strip but also made a bit of United States drag racing history in the process.
