FEEDBACK FRIDAY – THE LEGEND OF LARRY SUTTON
FEEDBACK ARTICLE – THE LEGEND OF LARRY SUTTON
My brother Vic Morse drove the Mister T Funny Car corvette in 70 and pulled to the line at Lions one night and forgot to buckle his harness, Sutton very calmly motioned him too hold and reached in and buckled him in Vic has never forgotten that. –Steve Morse
Absolutely, a GREAT story on Larry Sutton. Saw him many times at Lions, including the "LAST RACE". Of course my "many times" pales when compared to many, many times for the Southern Cal faithful, being as I usually had to drive down from Sacramento! Congratulations Larry ... you were always someone we "kind of knew" and always respected!!! –Eric Bruns
Great article. Back in the 60's I used to drive 40 miles round trip to Otie's Speed Shop in Akron to pick up the weeks copy of Drag News and there were always (seems like always) photos from Lions with Larry Sutton in the background. Thanks for bringing him to the forefront. -Tom Schiltz
