Very interesting article on Jerry Eckman!  There are always three sides to a story (your version, their version, and God's version), but Jerry's version seems real enough.  Why can't drag racing's Pete Rose be forgiven?  It’s human nature to hold a grudge as well as to point at someone else because of your own weakness.  Like Pete Rose, Jerry made a decision (he DID decide to proceed with the warm-up; whether or not the system was hooked up doesn't matter; it was there) that will haunt him for the rest of his life.  It’s a sad side of humanity.  Best wishes for Jerry and his family.  God knows what happened, and He forgives when asked.  I'll never think of Jerry like I have in the past. – Chad Dailey, Arlington, TX.
