FEEDBACK FRIDAY – DAVID NAPP: E-TOWN ONE YEAR LATER

FEEDBACK ARTICLE – DAVID NAPP: E-TOWN ONE YEAR LATER

Englishtown is my home track. I also attended last year’s event and agree with David. His facility at the time was on par with the rest of 6_16_2009_napp.jpgNHRA's other National event tracks. This was in my mind a really freak accident after the explosion but E-town has done what was required/asked/suggested of them and then some.

Safety improvements always come after an accident but now the track can look back after this past weekend’s event and say the improvements worked and how can we make it better for 2010 and beyond. - Debbie Moses

I am not a major fan of the Napp brothers as I was of Vince or his dad. I must state that I have been to tracks and raced T/f and F/C up and down the east coast and Canada since the '80s. I have been to every E-Town Nationals since '85.

E-town is a world class track and I have always felt safe and comfortable there.

I'm annoyed that the boo-birds came out ex post facto about the danger. Especially since they didn't have problems cashing the match race checks year after year on a dangerous track. - Arthur L Cimilluca

It might be better for everyone if Middlesex County got together with the Knapp family and jointly purchased the land off the end of Englishtown's shutdown area and diverted Pension road out somewhere beyond. The shutdown area could be extended up to 500'. It seems to me that the long term viability of Englishtown (a track I grew up with and love dearly) is dependent on a longer shutdown area. - David Hapgood
