The 80000 Series is 4.2-pounds lighter, while the 90000 Series (SFI-spec) is 4.8-pounds lighter than the Professional Products regular big-block dampers. A lighter damper produces quicker acceleration as well as weight savings.

Dampers #80036 ($94.00) and #90036 ($226.00) fit the 396/427, while the #80037 ($103.00) and #90037 ($235.00) fit the 454/502 engines. Both the #80000 Series and #90000 Series for the 454/502 engines are equipped with a bolt-on counterweight. Removal of the weight converts these dampers to a neutral balance style. To help accomplish this incredible weight reduction, the overall outside diameter (O.D.) is halfway between the standard 396/427 (7-inches) and the 454/502 (8-inch) diameters.
