The weekend's total effort raised $150,000 in proceeds for The Center for Learning Unlimited. CLU Director, Ginny Erxleben commented, "Our staff and the parents are so involved and so pleased with the support shown by so many. Our highly specialized school is moving to a new campus to accommodate the needs of children who endure the challenges of autism. We thank the community for their support, especially during these difficult times."

The show also hosted the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge; an educational program aimed for auto technology high school students that pits teams against other schools in a head-to-head engine build competition. Loara High School of Anaheim, CA won the challenge with a cumulative fastest time of 82 minutes, 20 seconds, earning them a spot to compete in the final at the 2009 SEMA show in Las Vegas Nevada, November 3-6. "Throughout the day the kids commented on what a great competition they were in. Our students are now realizing what they can do to pursue a career in the automotive aftermarket industry", stated Loara High Instructor, Russell Bacarella. "This has been a very positive experience and the ultimate lesson in teamwork."
