Starting this month, CompetitionPlus.com readers will be treated to
classic photos of Hall of Famer photographer Steve Reyes as he
presents his Reyes on Tour column.
Once a month Reyes will select and comment on a dozen photos of which he will tell stories from personal experience related to the snapshot.
“I am excited about this opportunity,” said Reyes, who recently attended the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn. “I really like being associated with this team because Bobby Bennett and the team at CompetitionPlus.com are passionate about the sport. Reyes joins a talented list of regular columnists such as Jon Asher, Tim Charlet and Shirley Muldowney.
Reyes is one of the most published automotive photographers from the 1960s to the 1990s with over 300 magazine covers and a multitude of features within a number of automotive magazines. He is one of four photographers inducted into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame.
“When you think of drag racing photography, the great crash and burn sequences, you immediately think of Steve Reyes,” CompetitionPlus.com Publisher/Editor Bobby Bennett said. “I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to have a gentleman that I consider one of my heroes on our team.”
