The Show will be in high gear Saturday and Sunday. Gates open at 7 a.m. and both days will be filled with Danchuk Jet Wars, the Aeromotive Nitro Coupe Challenge and the Tremec True Street Challenge.

Car show judging will be held both days. Novice participants are invited to take part in a judging seminar at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Adult general admission is $10 Friday, $22 Saturday and Sunday, or $32 for the weekend. Juniors ages 11-15 are $10 per day or $15 for the weekend.

Perhaps the most popular event is the Nitro Coupe Challenge that features Chevys with various body types powered by 526 cubic inch racing engines that reach speeds of over 200 mph and times around four seconds after reaching the eighth-mile mark on the strip.

Adding to the thrills are the jet cars that reach speeds over 300 mph and bring a powerful punch.

Also on hand will be Bob Hall, the “King of the Wheelstanders.” Watch Hall take his Airborne Express Chevy Astrovan that reaches speeds of 150 mph while zipping down the strip with its front wheels skyward.

Bracket racers can participate with their GM-made and can show their stuff in three classes – slicks and electronics, slicks and no electronics and street fight.
