DRAG RACING SPONSOR GOES ON OFFENSIVE SEEKING SILENT KILLERS

Get Screened America is bringing potential life saving tests and screenings to NHRA – National Hot Rod Association – fans selected at national events this fall.  The Get Screened America pavilion, exhibiting at several recent NHRA race events, provides free blood pressure checks, blood glucose testing, body mass index (BMI) testing and skin damage derma-scans to the race attendees.  While Get Screened America originally focused on high blood pressure, one of the country’s biggest ‘silent killers’, diabetes, ulcers and certain cancers, SoloHealth added their EyeSite™ kiosk to Get Screened America’s program, which offered free vision tests for NHRA fans attending the Atlanta Georgia and Englishtown New Jersey races.  The NHRA races in Indianapolis and Charlotte in September are the next events on the Get Screened America program.

SoloHealth Teams Up with Get Screened America to Test the Vision of NHRA Fans Using Self-Service Vision Kiosks

Steve Treff, program designer of Get Screened America said, “We’re thrilled that the NHRA provided us with the opportunity to offer our services to NHRA race fans.  We have had an overwhelming response at the races we attended, offering more checks and tests than we ever could have expected.”  He further explained, “And while we appreciate all of our sponsors, we are thrilled with the partnership that we have with SoloHealth.  The number of vision tests performed using their EyeSite™ kiosk at the racetrack has been much higher than we all expected.”

At two recent NHRA races in Atlanta and Englishtown, fans have been able to use the EyeSite Self-Service Vision Test kiosks to quickly have their vision checked, encouraging them to make an appointment, if necessary, with their eye doctor for a full exam.  The EyeSite kiosk provides immediate vision feedback to the fan, as well as other valuable information.  An average of over 80 vision tests per day – all free to the attendees – were performed at each race.

“As more people understand the importance of taking care of their eyes, they're more likely to schedule a regular eye exam.  Surprisingly, of the hundreds of people who took the EyeSite vision test, over 60% of them had not had an eye exam in the last 2 years” said Bart Foster, CEO and Founder of SoloHealth.  “SoloHealth is excited to work with Get Screened America to help educate consumers on the importance of eye health.  How well you see is only one part of the vision equation.  As people get older they could have cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and other serious eye conditions or diseases and not even know it.  And because there is no pain associated with eye disease, it often will go undetected.”

Get Screened America and SoloHealth next team up at NHRA’s Mac Tools US Nationals in Indianapolis Indiana Labor Day weekend and again for the NHRA Carolina Nationals in Charlotte North Carolina September 18-20.  Join the thousands of NHRA race fans that are receiving free testing and screening provided by Get Screened America and SoloHealth.
