GAHM'S FOURTH TIME A CHARM

The third time might be the charm, xps_final.JPGbut the fourth – that’s really special. Brian Gahm knows that for a fact.

The Extreme Pro Stock racer collected his fourth Extreme Pro Stock win of the season by stopping Dean Goforth in the final round of the ADRL Gateway Nationals in St. Louis, Mo.

“That was a good drag race right there,” Gahm of Lucasville, Ohio proclaimed. “The guys have done a great job in keeping up with this race track. The guys did all the hard work. I just jumped in there and drove. I had the easy job today.” The third time might be the charm, xps_final.JPGbut the fourth – that’s really special.

I had the easy job today.”

The victory marked Gahm’s second consecutive Extreme Pro Stock win and padded an almost insurmountable point lead heading into October’s Battle for the Belts championship event in Ennis, Texas, which is just south of Dallas.

“The final round was really good and the car stuck to the track,” Gahm said, even though some of the most seasoned tuners had trouble keeping up with the extreme heat. “The track people kept up with the track great and did a phenomenal job. They were on top of it.”

Successes aside, Gahm has no thoughts of easing up on the competition.

“We’re coming to Columbus with the same attitude we brought here,” said Gahm of the upcoming ADRL Ohio Drags. “We come here to win races and if you do that, everything takes care of itself.”
