Canadian doorslammer racer Gary Racich has taken delivery of the first Pro Mod style 1970 Barracuda in Canada. The car is the handiwork of Jeffers Pro Cars.

Rachich told CompetitionPlus.com that he will start the car off in Top Sportsman before looking to Pro Modified. The classic Mopar will be powered by a 572-inch, Hemi-style Keith Black and will connect to a Lencodrive four-speed automatic.

Initial plans are to run the car naturally aspirated before adding nitrous into the mix.

“ Though we are playing the wait for parts game we still have some hope to get it out before our season here is over otherwise we will be taking a trip south in the spring to give it a try,” Racich said.
