Spencer, who was UK National Super Pro ET Champion in 2008, will be contesting Stock Eliminator in Jim Rizzolis E/SA '67 Camaro at National events in Las Vegas and Pomona and a divisional event in Las Vegas.

Spencer's ride came about as a result of a passing comment to US tuner Jim Rizzoli, who was in Hockenheim, Germany, tuning the Top Alcohol Dragster of UK racer Derek Flynn who himself will be racing in TAD in Las Vegas and Pomona. Jim mentioned to Spencer that he had a race car of his own at home and Spencer humorously replied that if Jim ever felt like letting the car
out for a run then he should let him know. To Spencer's surprise Jim agreed immediately! By a stroke of luck NHRA Division 7 Director Mike Rice was at Hockenheim working on the track prep crew and he gladly advised Spencer about the formalities of racing in NHRA Competition.

Spencer's family have been involved on the organisation side of UK drag racing since 1983. Spencer himself started racing in Super Gas in 1998 and since then has raced in a wide range of classes from Sportsman ET to Comp Eliminator. Widely regarded as a natural in any race car, Spencer has won four National Championships and has nineteen National event wins to his name.
