SPEED's wildly popular television series PINKS All Out will return to zMAX Dragway April 23-24. The most spectacular grassroots drag racing event in the country returns to the Bellagio of drag strips on the heels of a historic 2009 PINKS All Out that featured competitors racing four wide down the concrete quarter-mile.
   
Registration for PINKS All Out begins Monday at 10 a.m. and will include a lottery system for hopeful participants who don't make the first 375 spots. During registration for the 2009 event, more than 500 entries were submitted within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time.

"PINKS All Out continues to be one of the most entertaining events in drag racing," said Christian Byrd, executive director and general manager of zMAX Dragway. "The 2010 event at zMAX Dragway will be a four-lane free-for-all that will leave fans and competitors gasping for air. This event will be the biggest in PINKS history. We have also reworked the registration so that more people have a chance to be a part of this outstanding event."
   
PINKS All Out, the popular spin-off program to the original PINKS series, is hosted by creator Rich Christensen and offers grassroots racers a chance to win more than $18,000 in cash and prizes and an opportunity to run their cars in front of a national cable television audience on SPEED. Each racer is asked to run their car "all out," and if they are caught sandbagging or slowing down they will be eliminated from the competition.
   
"One of the best things about PINKS All Out is that every show is different from the one before it," said Robert Ecker, SPEED vice president of programming & PINKS All Out executive producer.

"The personalities of the racers, the venues and the local communities provide the energy and excitement that really fuels the live event.

highlight of the day. The bar was set pretty high on that one, and for our return engagement we promise a more demanding level of competition. Whoever's left standing on April 24 will have survived a day of racing unlike any in PINKS All Out history; it's going to be that big."
   
Registration for PINKS All Out at zMAX Dragway begins 10 a.m. Monday at www.lowesmotorspeedway.com. There will be a $60 registration fee for car and driver. Only the first 375 entrants will reserve their spot during registration.
   
After the first 375 entries are filled, a lottery registration for 75 entries will remain open until Jan. 4. The lottery winners will be posted on the Lowe's Motor Speedway Web site on Jan. 11. Drivers must be 18 years of age or older to register. Additional information and rules are available
