$20,000 TO WIN AT "THE NIGHT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT IN GEORGIA"

It’s time to put or shut up in the ever escalating war of words between Drag Radial racers in North America.  This weekend, February 26 - 27, 2010, from South Georgia’s premier drag racing facility (SGMP) just outside Adel Georgia, ‘The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia’ $20,000 to win Mickey Thompson Drag Radial vs. The World will take place.

It’s time to put or shut up in the ever escalating war of words between Drag Radial racers in North America.  This weekend, February 26 - 27, 2010, from South Georgia’s premier drag racing facility (SGMP) just outside Adel Georgia, ‘The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia’ $20,000 to win Mickey Thompson Drag Radial vs. The World will take place.  

Along with the Mickey Thompson Drag Radial vs. The World Class, will be heads-up action in the $10,000 to win TRZ Motorsports sponsored Ultimate Street class and $5000-to-win BMF sponsored 275 radial tire classes.  In addition to this competition, more racing action will be presented as South Georgia Motorsports Park highlights their own 6.50 and 7.50 index classes along with Open Comp eliminator. There will also be a $1500 to win Outlaw 330 Jr. Dragster classes where some cars will be running in the 4.20 range.

The announcing deck will be highlighted by Al Tucci and Wade Mooney.

The gates open at 8 am Thursday for a pre-race test and tune and early parking.  Special test and tune rate for spectators on Thursday is only $10.00.  Spectator price for Friday is $15.00 and $20.00 for Saturday. For the full schedule of events, check out the SGMP website.

If you can’t make it out to see the race in person, the event will be webcast around the world starting on Friday morning.  The full weekend pass is only $15.00 for 20 plus hours of live racing action.
