Smith has been impressive while riding in selected races over the last two seasons.  She was a semifinalist twice in only seven events a year ago and made the semifinals twice in 2008.   She has qualified for her last 14 races in the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series – including the final seven outings in 2008.

“This is our second year with Doc’s as a marketing partner,” said team owner Karl Klement.  “We feel very fortunate to have them on board with us.  They are one of the top Harley Davidson dealers in the United States and have been involved in drag racing and flat-track racing.  Patty Bush of Doc’s has even drag raced motorcycles.”

“Karl’s a great guy and a supporter of all kinds of motorcycle racing – dirt tracking and drag racing,” Bush said.   “We love the sport and are proud we can be part of Karl’s team with Angie Smith.

“I did drag race motorcycles when I was 16 – before girls were even allowed on the track,” Bush continued.   “We’ve always been adrenalin junkies.”

Smith, who also fits that category, lauded Doc’s for continuing their sponsorship.  “We formed a new team for 2010 and we are very happy and excited that Doc’s Harley Davidson wanted to be a part of it again.”

The team makes its season debut at Gainesville, Fla., March 12-14.
