FOSTER SET TO DEBUT NEW SPONSOR IN HOUSTON

Defending NHRA Division 3 Top Alcohol Funny Car Champion Chris Foster will unveil a new paint scheme and new primary sponsor Goodridge Hoses & Fittings during this weekend’s O’Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park.  The two-race deal covers next weekend’s event, along with the Division 4 opener in Dallas, Apr. 23-25.

Goodridge began their association with Foster last year as an associate sponsor.  For 2010, Goodridge has stepped up their involvement to become the team’s primary sponsor for three races.

"Goodridge is proud to be associated with Chris Foster as a primary sponsor this year," stated Jack Hastings, Director of Motorsports for Goodridge.  "For over 40 years, Goodridge has provided fluid transfer solutions to the racing markets all over the world. To continue this tradition with Champions like Chris is truly an honor."

“When we started working with Will Hanna last year, he got us hooked up with Goodridge Hoses & Fittings,” stated Foster.  “Goodridge and DragRaceHose.com came on as associate sponsors.  We sent them all of our old lines to make into their lightweight line of hoses.  When they sent them back, they had our old hoses in one bag, and the new in another.  You could tell the difference in weight just by holding the two bags.  They look great and hold up to the wear and tear of racing week in and week out.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring them on as a primary sponsor,” Foster added.  “We’re still on cloud nine after winning the Division 3 Championship last year, so to start 2010 off with a deal like this, it’s a great way to start the season.  We look forward to representing them and our associate sponsors DragRaceHose.com, Motorsports Unlimited, RBS Superchargers, Morel Lifters and Victory Valves.”

Team Crew Chief Will Hanna hopes the team’s pre-season testing will pay dividends this weekend.

“We had a few things we wanted to try,” stated Hanna.  “We also wanted to get a few laps under our belt.  We have two sets of Hoosier tires scrubbed in and our new Autometer Dash Computer is working great.  It’s going to be a very tough field, but we hope to make a strong showing this weekend for Goodridge.”
