Maple Grove Raceway has appointed longtime employee Anthony Winchester as track manager and Kevin Lamphere has been promoted to assistant track manager, vice president/general manager Lex Dudas announced today.

The change goes into effect July 23.

Winchester’s new duties will include all aspects of racing operations as well as overseeing souvenirs and marketing.

Winchester has served at The Grove for many years. He’s worked just about any job there is at the track, including the starting line crew, and was most recently sales and marketing coordinator. He is a graduate of Twin Valley High School and Penn State University. He lives in Morgantown.

“The Stauffer family as well as myself have been impressed how Anthony has risen up and tackled every task that was given to him,” Dudas said.

Also joining the staff is Lamphere, who will be working hand-in-hand with Winchester and Dudas. For the past year, Lamphere has worked in a part-time capacity, primarily as part of the Ransome Cat starting line crew.

“Kevin has been with us for a year in a part-time role and did a great job,” Dudas said. “We look forward to having him in a fulltime capacity.”

Lamphere lives in Manheim with wife Andrea and daughters Kelsea and Jenna.
