CAROLINA DRAGWAY TO HOST AUTO PRO MOD EVENT

With the recent “Battle of the Big Dawgs” event at Carolina Dragway, HOH/Mike Hill Productions are teaming up once again to bring the "Night Under The Lights Automatic Pro Mods” racing back to the House of Hook, August 13 and 14, 2010. Keeping the converter cars in mind this race is designed to bring all types of power adders to center stage. All power adders are welcome with the exception of Screw blowers and Turbos limited to 94mm. With the popping of the Turbos, purging of the Nitrous, and the whine of the Blowers, this race should set the tone for a full series in 2011 that will visit tracks across the south east.

"With the cost of Pro Mod racing getting out of hand we are trying to bring a series to tracks in 2011 that will allow the racers less travel and more chances to win good money. It takes a lot to keep these cars going and with some of the other series dropping Automatic Pro Mod along with getting faster and faster it really makes it hard for the little guy to afford their dreams of racing a competitive Pro Modified. This series will be a place for that to happen." Mike Hill stated. Jeff Miles added, "We are talking to tracks now about signing up for 2011 and everyone wants to see how things go at this first race. As with all events that we host, we have the racer and fans in mind, we want to see the fans leave feeling like they got their monies worth. When fans were leaving after the Big Dawgs race all we heard was that they wanted more Pro Mods! Well here it is a full series for 2011."

The purse structure also keeps the racer in mind with a nice payout to the winner and top qualifier money as well as getting your entry fee back plus some for winning one round. All cars will qualify Friday night as well as twice on Saturday to give every car that chance at a cool night time run. With the quickest converter driven nitrous pass ever at Battle of the Big Dawgs the blowers and turbos know they have their work cut out to keep up. Side by side 3.90's will be plentiful if the weather cooperates; this is one race not to miss.
