The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) and President Kenny Nowling announced on Thursday that “The Rock Racing Battery” will serve as both the “Official Battery of the ADRL” and the “Official Mobile Power Source” of the ADRL’s “Battle for the Belts” doorslammer drag racing series.

Thanks to its lightweight and unsurpassed reliability, The Rock Battery is a top choice for several ADRL drivers, including current Extreme Pro Stock points leader John Montecalvo.

The New York native has won four of the last five XPS races, including a double-win weekend at Houston Raceway Park on July 23-24 in Baytown, TX.

Montecalvo also won the Hardee’s Independence Drags IV, which were completed on Aug. 6 in front of a capacity crowd at Gateway International Raceway.

The Rock Battery is available in either a 12-volt or 16-volt package. The company also manufactures a wide variety of companion products, including battery chargers, which are built especially for use in extreme racing disciplines like the ADRL.

The Rock Battery is built to be extremely durable and stand up well to constant vibrating and pounding that often takes place during ADRL drag races.

The battery has also received glowing reviews from its huge variety of consumers, including Montecalvo, who acknowledges The Rock Battery as the best product of its kind around.

“There is no better 16-volt battery, period,” Montecalvo said.

The ADRL’s “Official Battery” designation was also hailed by The Rock Batteries owner Steve Earwood as “an important endorsement of our products and a big step in the evolution of The Rock Battery.”

“I have tremendous respect for Kenny Nowling and the ADRL organization,” Earwood said. “To have both of my companies (Earwood also owns Rockingham, N.C., Dragway, site of the ADRL’s annual Dragstock race) so closely aligned with what I consider to be the most revolutionary racing series developed in many decades is extremely gratifying.”
