ANOTHER FORCE READY TO RACE?

kenny_youngblood_diesel_louie_dragtrk_A_final_proofBrother Louis, aka Diesel Louie, is ready to join the family’s drag racing assault.

Louis Force, the older brother of 14-time NHRA champion John Force, plans to debut his latest creation, an 8V92 Silverline Detroit-power Peterbilt roadster, during the NHRA Auto Club Finals in Pomona, Ca., Nov. 11- 14.

Force’s neat ride has plenty of flexibility.

“It can be easily transformed from a street legal Rod to a 900-horsepower diesel drag truck, and or a contender for the record at pikes peak or again for Bonneville with a mere one hour change of exhaust and injector components,” Force explained. “The Transmission is an Allison 4-Speed auto, driving a rear end ratio to rocket this vehicle to a terminal speed of just over 190 MPH.”

Force continued, “It has ladder bar suspension in the rear, with air bags and coil over shocks. The front is reminiscent of the t-bucket Roadster. It has 4-wheel power over hydraulic disc brakes on all four wheels.

“The cab is a genuine 88 Peterbilt 379 big rig cab and the dash is original. Barring any crisis we will be in Pomona.”

Force says the credit for this project goes to the Keeney Family of Food Express Inc, in Arcadia California.

Food Express covers five western states with 80-plus deliveries of bulk flour for every application in the food industry.

“When you eat bread, cupcakes, pies, hamburgers or hotdogs, tortillas, and English Muffins or any sandwich from any major fast food store on the left coast, Food Express hauls it,” explained Force, the truck manager and trainer for the west coast.

Additional sponsorship on the big rig includes DSC Truck supplies, D&S Plating of Garden Grove [CA.], along with Castrol Purion synthetic oils for big rig diesels.
