Humphrey, 50, is a second-generation racer in his seventh year in the Pro Stock ranks. Competing with a team owned by his father, Troy, for the last year and a half, he has had an increased presence among the factory hot rods behind the wheel of a car fielded in conjunction with the championship-contending KB Racing team. Despite running a partial schedule in 2010, his three quarterfinal finishes in nine starts place the Jacksonville, N.C., native 18th in the championship standings coming into this weekend, where he looks to make the most of the opportunity.

“On behalf of myself and the entire Troy Humphrey Motorsports team, I would like to welcome Summit Racing and Genuine Hotrod Hardware and thank them for this opportunity,” said Humphrey. “In looking at their website and through their catalog, I found some really neat things that I think people would be pretty interested in, so we’re looking forward to going out there and telling the fans all about it. These last five races promise to be a lot of fun.”
