Due to increased racer demand for entry into the Oct. 1-2 PINKS All Out in Thunder Valley, Bristol Dragway officials received permission today to open 50 additional entry slots for this weekend’s event.
 
Competitors must be at least 18 years of age. Entries are non-transferrable and each racer is allowed one spot. Race cars must run 12.99 or faster and must follow NHRA safety guidelines. All cars must be door cars. Rail dragsters will not be accepted.
 
Entry fee for racers is $60 and includes the Friday test and tune session, as well as Saturday’s racing action with PINKS All Out host Rich Christensen and his famous arm drop start.

Anyone interested in the 50 additional entries should call the Bristol Dragway ticket office at (423) 989-6900 to reserve a spot. The slots are expected to fill quickly, so racers are encouraged to call as soon as possible.
 
General admission spectator tickets are $15 on Friday and $25 on Saturday. A $35 weekend pass also is available. Kids 12 and under are free. There is no charge for parking.
 
The initial group of 400 racer entries, made available on April 12, sold out in seven minutes. Dragway officials were able to give additional entries through a lottery system.
 
Spectator tickets are available and may be purchased by calling the Bristol Dragway ticket office or by visiting www.bristoldragway.com.
 
Christensen and the SPEED crew come to Bristol after a remarkable debut event in 2007. More than 400 racers registered to compete in that race and the grandstands were packed with spectators eager to see the action live.
 
With the chance to find themselves on television, many curious spectators visited Bristol Dragway to see what the excitement was about. After seeing the event, many of those visitors were transformed in to die-hard PINKS fans.
 
Each event combines a large-scale television production with the sights, sounds and atmosphere of a live drag racing experience. It’s a full Saturday worth of entertainment, including two time trial sessions, a final 16-car shootout and a full roster of drag racing exhibitions.
