Tilcon, an aggregate materials company, is joining John Montecalvo at his home stop on the MMPSA tour- the legendary Shakedown at E-town. Based in New England, the heart of the Shakedown, Tilcon is a division of Oldcastle, Inc, one of the world’s leading building products and materials companies.

With operations throughout the New England area that include everything from  quarries to recycling plants to a heavy highway construction division, Tilcon provides millions of tons of quality crushed stone, asphalt, sand, gravel, and recycled materials each year. The company has received numerous awards including the NAPA Diamond Achievement and Quality in Construction Awards. Now, for the first time, the company will step up as a drag racing sponsor on John Montecalvo’s Chevy Cobalt.
 
Tilcon’s sponsorship comes at a pivotal point in the season. The Shakedown at E-town is the next-to-last stop in the MMPSA’s inaugural season, and will play a significant role in the points battle, as well as determine the top eight competitors who will qualify for the MMPSA Aruba Vacations Shootout.
 
Montecalvo currently stands second in MMPSA points, and although he is securely in the Shootout, every point is crucial in the Championship chase.
 
“With Tilcon on board the excitement is really building for this event,” continued Montecalvo. “We’re looking forward to being a part of the Shakedown, hopefully gaining some points on Cary [Goforth, points leader] and doing our best to make Tilcon proud to be a part of this team!”
