The 12-time titlist with 36 career "300" games will soon get a good horsepower fix when he joins five-time world champion drag racer Jeg Coughlin Jr. at NHRA national events in Reading, Pa., and Las Vegas.

"The lives of professional bowlers are just like drag racers -- pretty hectic -- so it's rare when we can match up times to get together," Coughlin said. "But it looks like the Reading and Vegas races are good for Danny so we're excited to have him out.

"We're in the hunt for the championship and Danny has certainly been in the same position many times before so we have some common ground. It's going to be a lot of fun to show him our world. Hopefully, we'll get to sneak over to one of his events one of these days."
