FREE really means FREE at Dragway 42 this Saturday
Unlike other "free" drag racing events hosted at tracks around the country
that require the purchase of a (sometimes inflated) general admission
ticket to participate, Dragway 42 puts its 50th Anniversary season of
racing into high gear with a truly FREE event on Saturday, April 21.
The Dragway 42 Racer and Fan Appreciation Event presented by Akron
Machining Institute and Summit Racing Equipment Retail Store offers both
FREE general admission and FREE race entry to this Saturday's event. FREE really means FREE at Dragway 42 this Saturday

The Dragway 42 Racer and Fan Appreciation Event presented by Akron
Machining Institute and Summit Racing Equipment Retail Store offers both
FREE general admission and FREE race entry to this Saturday's event.
The West Salem, Ohio track will be feature a pair of $1,000 to win classes
(Box and No Box) plus separate street and junior dragster combo eliminators.
All 4 class winners will also take home an IHRA Ironman trophy for their
accomplishment and the IHRA will be offering a special 50% discount on the
sanctioning body's annual membership fees to Saturday's participants.
Dragway 42 kicks off their "Appreciation" weekend with a test and tune
event on Friday evening and rounds out activities with its first Summit
SuperSeries points event of the season on Sunday.
The Friday test and tune will be conducted from 5:30 to 10 PM. Gates will
open at 9 AM for Saturday's "FREE" event with eliminations scheduled for
2:30PM. Sunday's activities get started with the opening of the gates at 10
AM, Jr. Dragster time trials beginning at 10:30 AM and big car TT's rolling
off at 11:15 AM.
Beginning this Wednesday, Dragway 42's schedule features 28 consecutive
weeks of 5 events per week racing at this historic track.
Dragway 42 hosts events every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday night plus
Saturday and Sunday afternoons from April through October.
