WAR STORIES SHOWDOWN EARLY ENTRIES

The field is already
shaping up for the inaugural Torco’s CompetitionPlus.com WAR STORIES Showdown.
This will be the competition where members of the drag racing community will be
paired on an eliminations type ladder and eliminate one another on the basis of
who can tell the best war story.
There will be four rounds of eliminations that will narrow down to a single winner. Each match is determined via reader vote.

Early entrants include –
- Aaron Polburn - IHRA President and
professional storyteller
- John Force – 14-time NHRA Funny Car champion
who once thought construction companies ran pigs through pipelines
- Don Prudhomme – Legendary Funny Car driver and
team owner who once caught a rabbit bare handed
- Roy Hill – IHRA Pro Stock legend and person
likely to get us all shot
- Bob Glidden – Former Pro Stock champion who
used to whip Grumpy Jenkins like a rented mule
- Pat Musi – Longtime Pro Stock legend who once
appeared on the People’s Court and nearly got thrown off the show.
- Don Schumacher – Drag racing legend, who once reported
a Funny Car stolen only to tell the guilty party to keep it.
- Whit Bazemore – Photographer turned drag
racer, who reportedly killed an RJ Reynolds van
- Gary Scelzi – Funny Car and Top Fuel Champion
and off-road golfer [Don’t even ask].
- “Animal” Jim Fuerer – Pro Modified pioneer who once helped a guy get his car out of a tree.
- Tom "Mongoose" McEwen - Funny Car legend and nother professional story teller
The competition begins on
December 14.
