FORMER IHRA RACER IN NON-RACING ACCIDENT

Former IHRA Pro Stock racer Carl Baker and his wife Donna were uninjured in an accident involving a deer according to the Chronicle-Telegram newspaper in Ohio.

According to the newspaper report, a deer crossed into the path of the minivan driven by Carl.

The resulting impact sent the deer into the opposite lane of traffic where it went through the windshield of any oncoming Jeep.

According to the Chronicle- Telegram, the Jeep’s driver, Jeremy Bradford, 30, of Wellington, was flown from the scene to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, including cuts to his head and face. 

He was listed in critical condition Thursday night, a nursing supervisor told the newspaper.

Neither Carl nor Donna were available for comment this morning.
