Seven-time IHRA Champion Rickie Smith signed Bailey Trucking to an associate sponsorship on his 1963 nitrous-injected Pro Mod Corvette for the 2008 racing season.

Smith will compete at the season-opening ADRL Drag Illustrated Dragpalooza IV in Houston, Texas, March 7-8. 

“I definitely excited,” said Smith.  “I’m grateful to Bailey Trucking for coming aboard and helping me out.  I have been busy here lately helping numerous different race teams all over the world, literally.  So, it feels good to know that I will be back behind the wheel for awhile.  This Corvette is pretty hateful on the race track, so  I can’t wait to get out there and run in the ADRL again.  It should be quite interesting.”

While Smith has some associate sponsors on his side, he is still looking for a main sponsor to get things where they need to be this year.  But don’t doubt the race veteran’s capabilities, sponsor or not, he will be mixing things up at the track, that’s for certain.
