BRADSHAW'S SPECIAL SHELL DESIGN

Top Fuel driver and Texas native Alan Bradshaw will campaign a special-edition design during this weekend's O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals presented by Pennzoil at Houston Raceway Park. Bradshaw's normal maroon and yellow Vis Viva Energy drink colors will be changed to the red and blue of Shell's V-Power fuel additive for both this race and the upcoming event in Las Vegas. Bradshaw's traditional Vis Viva scheme will return at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta.

"This is just another example of how our partnership with the Worshams is helping Tuttle Motorsports both on and off the track," Bradshaw said. "The Worshams traditionally run special-edition cars for Checker Schuck's Kragen throughout the year and thought it might be cool to put one on a Top Fueler. Our primary sponsor, Attitude Drink Co., was open to the idea and felt it was a great way to repay the Worshams for all the support and hospitality they have shown the Vis Viva brand and their guests this year. It really shows how all our sponsors like CSK Auto, Vis Viva Energy, and Shell V-Power work together to make this program the best in NHRA."

Del Worsham echoed his teammate's thoughts on the alliance the two organizations have formed, citing the work-together strategy he and Tuttle discussed during the off-season.

"Like Alan said, this is a perfect example of what Dexter and I wanted to do in terms of our marketing partners, sponsorships, and track presence," Worsham said. "We've picked each other's brains for tuning data over the past couple of years, so our alliance just formalized that part of the agreement, but this sort of thing was a key part of how we always felt this would be beneficial to everyone. With my car currently running K&N Filters colors in support of another one of our key associate sponsors, we have the ability to put the Shell V-Power design on Alan Bradshaw's dragster, and everyone comes out ahead.

"We have a long history of doing these special-edition cars for some very important sponsors, who all see the value of NHRA POWERade Drag Racing, and Shell V-Power is clearly a great product. The Shell name and logo are about as well-known as any corporate brand in the world, so it's an honor to have them join our combined organization for two races. V-Power is a complete fuel-system cleaner, and any additive that helps your car run cleaner and more efficiently is a valuable thing to have in the tank. With the Shell brand on it, you know it's a product you can trust."

This weekend's race also marks the NHRA POWERade Series' first 2008 stop in Texas, making the event even more special for Bradshaw, who resides in Odessa.

"I am really looking forward to racing in my home state," Bradshaw said. "We have a ton of Texas race fans who are looking forward to the Shell V-Power/Vis Viva Energy dragster doing them proud in the Lone Star State.

"So far at the first few races I know it looks like we have been swinging for the fence on every lap, but that's not the case," Bradshaw continued. "The game plan for Houston is to get four base hits during qualifying, and if we can duplicate that plan on Sunday, we can get one across the plate for Shell V-Power and Team Vis Viva. We know our Vis Viva Energy car can make the horsepower, and with a shot of Shell V-Power in the tank, it ought to make even more, but consistency is what we are looking for in Houston. With the momentum from our No. 1 qualifier at the Gators, nothing would suit me more than to win my first NHRA Top Fuel event trophy in the great state of Texas."
