NHRA ON GMA THURSDAY

ABC’s popular morning show, Good Morning America, will once again feature the NHRA POWERade Series during a segment expected to air at 7:45 a.m. ET Thursday morning.

With gas prices reaching $4 a gallon and fuel efficiency on everyone’s mind, Good Morning America will be shooting on location at a gas station in Indianapolis to focus on the issue and they’ll be utilizing the crew of the second-place Matco Tools team as their expert mechanics. Crew Chief Lee Beard will be featured in the segment with the Good Morning America correspondent while his crew members will be in the background interacting with Indianapolis drivers, looking under the hoods of their cars, checking air pressure, and advising these folks what they may be able to do to increase their fuel efficiency.

Lee Beard is the crew chief for Antron Brown-driven Matco Tools dragster that has won two of the last three NHRA POWERade Series races and is currently in second place in the standings.
