CompetitionPlus.com has learned former NHRA funny car world champion Mark Oswald will handle driving duties for Mike Ashley this weekend at the NHRA Torco Route 66 Nationals in Chicago. CompetitionPlus.com has learned former NHRA funny car world champion Mark Oswald will handle driving duties for Mike Ashley this weekend at the NHRA Torco Route 66 Nationals in Chicago.  With Ashley's regular replacement Frank Hawley away on personal business, Oswald was the next in line. This will be Oswald's first race since 1992. 

Olswald has been a test driver for Ashley in the past and currently serves as team co-crewcheif.
