Four-time European drag racing champion Urs Erbacher has returned to the United States to resume competing in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Erbacher, who ran four of the season's first races with his Fat Attack Top Fueler, will compete at the ACDelco NHRA Las Vegas Nationals Oct. 31 – Nov. 2 and the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals Nov. 13-16.

Erbacherm who is not only an accomplished drag racer but is known for building some of Europe's most celebrated custom bikes, recently was the subject of a new hit reality series on the Discovery Channel in Europe, The Kings Of Nitro, that was broadcasted in more than 120 countries. The popularity of this show led the Discovery Channel to offering Fat Attack Racing an opportunity for another reality show series, this time covering his exploits of possibly racing a full 2009 NHRA schedule.

With crew chief Wayne Dupuy and newly appointed assistant Brian Sturgeon guiding the team, Erbacher says he is primed and ready to take on the best. Dupuy is already gearing up for 2009 ordering a brand new Hadman car and possibly preparing a second Top Fuel dragster for the team with young and talented Norwegian driver Siw Nystad.

The team expects to announce new sponsors within the next few weeks as it positions itself for a NHRA and or European schedule in 2009.
