The 2008 season has been an understandably tough one for Herbert which began with the tragic loss of two sons in an automobile accident. He turned the accident into a platform for B.R.A.K.E.S., a foundation for safe driving amongst teenage drivers.

Herbert had carried the Snap-On Tools sponsorship dating back to 1992. He’s a multi-time IHRA Top Fuel world champion and has ten NHRA national event titles to his credit.
