Richard Freeman and Elite Motorsports continue their expansion within Pro Stock and in their latest venture, the multi-car team has purchased a turn-key 2009 Pontiac GXP built by Jerry Haas. The end destination for the brand new car is NHRA Pro Stock.

Richard Freeman and Elite Motorsports continue their expansion within Pro Stock and in their latest venture, the multi-car team has purchased a turn-key 2009 Pontiac GXP built by Jerry Haas. The end destination for the brand new car is NHRA Pro Stock.

The combination of J.R. Carr and AgriPack and Elite Motorsports along with Frank Gugliotta will compete at next month’s NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Ca., using horsepower from Frank Iaconio.

The current IHRA Pro Stock record holder, Gugliotta, will compete for the first time as an NHRA Pro Stock driver during this outing. Last season he served as crew chief for Justin Humphreys.

“We’re still very much committed to our IHRA program and nothing is changing whatsoever with what we have in place,” Freeman said. “The car can be bought with an in-place engine program from Frank Iaconio. If anyone has any aspirations of going 500-inch Pro Stock, they can call me at Elite Motorsports.”

The team will test at the Pro Stock session hosted by The Strip at Las Vegas during the weekend prior to Pomona.
