“We’ve got a great relationship with Kenny and the ADRL,” Earwood said, “so it made sense for the Rock Batteries Spring Blast to be designated as the series’ official spring training event.  The track will be prepped to national event standards so we’re offering the opportunity to test under actual race conditions.

“Dragstock has become one of our major destination events,” Earwood continued.  “Fans already are inquiring about this year’s race and the Spring Blast will give them a preview of what to expect when the ADRL returns on Sept. 11-12.”

In addition to free testing on Thursday and Friday, all participants will compete for the $3,000 Spring Blast Carolina Outlaw Doorslammers title in a combined heads-up race.  Drivers in all categories including Pro Modified and Pro Stock will make two qualifying runs on Saturday that will determine which will compete for the cash.

A free entry bracket race will be contested both on Saturday and Sunday, the first two events of the season that will award track championship points

The ADRL season begins March 6-7 at Baytown, Texas.  Dragstock VI will be the last race before the World Finals and will be the final event in which drivers can qualify to compete in the Battle for the Belts.

Early Spring Blast entries include former ADRL national event winners “Tricky Rickie” Smith of King, N.C., Robert Patrick of Fredericksburg, Va., Elijah Morton of Jacksonville, N.C., and Brian Gahm of Lucasville, Ohio who will share the stage with a host of ADRL regulars.
