On the same track where Doug Kalitta won drag racing's famous tie drag race, he recently scored another milestone in his storied drag racing career. 

Kalitta earned his 600th career round win as he advanced to the Top Fuel semi-finals at the Lucas Oil NHRA Southern Nationals at the Atlanta Dragway, on Sunday.

“It was very cool to hit such a big number of round wins with this Mac Tools Toyota team,” Kalitta said.”I would have loved to take the event win, but it was not meant to be. We are running strong and I look forward to Topeka in a couple weeks." 
 
Kalitta has now advanced to the semi-finals or beyond in four of the season’s first seven races.
