KALITTA MOTORSPORTS PAYING IT FORWARD WITH DRIVE FOR PURPOSE CHALLENGE

Success has never been so rewarding.

Every time Kalitta Motorsports has won a round, Feeding America has been better able to feed the nation’s homeless. The Ypsilanti, Michigan team announced recently they and primary sponsor DHL would team up to donate to Feeding America, the largest charity working to end hunger and insecurity in the United States through their Drive for Purpose Challenge initiative.

Thanks to a resurgence in performance, 140,000 meals have been donated.

On the strength of win lights recorded by Doug Kalitta, Shawn Langdon, and J.R. Todd at the Carolina Nationals in Charlotte and the Midwest Nationals in St. Louis, the program is off to a solid start as the team races towards its original goal of 500,000 meals.

Kalitta Air joined the cause, with two races remaining, with a commitment to match the $25,000 donation from Kalitta Motorsports for a total of $50,000.

“We are thrilled Kalitta Air has jumped into the mix to support Feeding America along with Kalitta Motorsports and DHL,” said Chad Head, Kalitta Motorsports General Manager. “We are in the middle of our playoffs racing for the Top Fuel and Funny Car world championships, so drawing more attention to Feeding America by winning rounds on Sunday is awesome all the way around. DHL is a great marketing partner that not only has a great B2B relationship with our organization, but they do an amazing job supporting causes that are important to us and our fans.”

With two more races in the Drive for Purpose Challenge, fans can join the team supporting Feeding America by visiting the donation website; for more information, click here.
