Someone has purchased Hartland Motorsports Park. The identity of the buyer remains unrevealed. However, the bid is serious enough that  Heritage Brokers & Auctioneers, the auction house for Heartland Motorsports Park, closed the auction ahead of its 6 p.m. June 24 deadline. 

27 News in Topeka confirmed an email sent out by the auction company stating that the HRP's seller, Chris Payne with Shelby Development LLC, has chosen to cut the auction short due to numerous offers to purchase the park and all surrounding parcels of land. Reportedly, the purchaser made the offer before the auction's launch last month. 

A source close to the situation has told CompetitionPlus.com that the unidentified purchaser reportedly wants to bring back drag racing to Heartland Motorsports Park.
