NHRA DELIVERS STRONG TELEVISION BROADCAST NUMBERS FROM INDY

Drag racing is alive and well, and there’s no finer example than the recently completed Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis. The television coverage of the event drew an impressive viewership of nearly 2.1 million for its original airing on Fox. This marked the largest audience for this event on the Fox networks since 2017, highlighting the monumental nature of the occasion.

Viewership remained strong throughout the NHRA broadcasts on Fox, with Sunday’s airing of the Pep Boys NHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout and Monday’s eliminations.

NHRA Vice President of Broadcast Steve Reintjes expressed enthusiasm about the extensive coverage on the Fox Broadcast Network.

“It was exciting to showcase our sport on such a high level with our expanded coverage on the FOX Broadcast Network during our biggest event of the season,” NHRA Vice President of Broadcast Steve Reintjes said. “It was a fantastic weekend as more than two million viewers tuned into our broadcasts, helping set the stage for our NFL adjacent broadcast on FOX to open the Countdown to the Championship.”

On social media, the NHRA enjoyed a strong week, attracting 3.5 million video views and more than 8.5 impressions across all social media platforms, including 1 million video views on YouTube and 3 million impressions on Facebook.

The Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals also marked the culmination of seven consecutive event weekends appearing on Fox since late June.

Last season, the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals delivered the high water mark with an average of 1,678,000 viewers for its broadcast of the 2022 Countdown to the Championship playoff opener.
