Once might be by chance, twice a coincidence, but a third time indicates a trend.

Sunday at the New England Nationals hosted by New England Dragway in Epping, NH, the NHRA announced the third time it has sold out back-to-back days during the 2018 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

“During pre-race ceremonies this morning I predicted another sellout and our guests didn’t let me down,” said Joe Lombardo, general manager of New England Dragway. “It just reinforces my beliefs we have the greatest fans on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series tour.”

The NHRA's total for sold out days is now at eight during the 2018 season. Those sellouts have come in Phoenix, Gainesville, Charlotte, Richmond and now Epping.

“We want to thank all of the fans that came out to show support this weekend at the NHRA New England Nationals,” Lombardo said. “We had great weather, perfect track conditions, and an excellent show. We thank NHRA and our fans for choosing to spend their July holiday in New England.”

Last year's NHRA New England Nationals also sold out on Saturday.
