NHRA POSTPONES VEGAS FINAL ELIMINATIONS UNTIL MONDAY
The conclusion of the 24th annual Ford Performance NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will resume Monday due to weather and track conditions following an incident.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. PT, and racing will begin at 9 a.m. in various categories, including the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and Summit Racing Series. The semifinals in Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle are scheduled to follow at 11 a.m. PT.
Top Fuel finalists Brittany Force and Doug Kalitta will kick off final-round action at 12:15 p.m.
In the Funny Car semifinals, points leader Austin Prock will face Blake Alexander, while Jack Beckman takes on Paul Lee. Pro Stock will feature Aaron Stanfield against David Cuadra and Greg Anderson racing Cristian Cuadra. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Gaige Herrera will compete against Hector Arana Jr., with Chase Van Sant facing Angie Smith.
On Monday, fans will have free admission and open seating. Club Nitro and suites will be closed, and parking will be limited to general parking. RVs and campers can remain until 6 p.m.
