This weekend’s Nitro Nationals at Osage Tulsa Raceway Park has been canceled due to an unfavorable weather forecast. The event is an NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series points race for the Nostalgia Top Fuel and A/Fuel classes. The event will not be rescheduled.

Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park posted on their Facebook, "The most difficult thing that a race track or an organization has to do is make a decision, days in advance, about the weather. With the weather forecast for this weekend and with respect of the teams traveling from all over the US, the decision has been made to cancel this weekend’s Nitro Nationals at Osage Tulsa Raceway Park. We have worked with NHRA to make this event a Heritage Series race, and it has had many great years of racing with no rainouts. Now that Mother Nature has caused us to cancel this year’s event, we will work hard to make this event bigger and better for 2019 to make up for having to cancel this year. For everyone that has purchased tickets online we are working with ticketing company and will get refunds issued."
