Drag racing fans were reminded of the inherent dangers of racing Pro Stock Motorcycle Saturday during the Q3 session of the NHRA In-N-Out Finals.

Rider Kelly Clontz took a spill when she came off the bike in the shutdown area. She had just completed a 6.774 elapsed time pass, at 199.46 miles per hour when her Suzuki apparently locked up and turned toward the left retaining wall. The abrupt direction change threw her off the bike, which served as a barrier between her and the wall. 

Clontz slid to a stop in the In-N-Out Dragstrip shutdown area.   

Clontz was alert and conscious and was examined onsite by Medical Director Dr. Phillip Surface before being transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation. She was released and according to NHRA officials, was on her way back to the track Saturday afternoon.
