RYAN OEHLER PARTNERS WITH EL BANDIDO YANKEE TEQUILA FOR REMAINING OF 2022

Flyin’ Ryan Oehler, an NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle owner/rider announced July 13 he will partner with El Bandido Yankee Tequila for the remaining of the 2022 season with the debut of the partnership at the weekend’s 42nd annual Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, Colo.

“We are thrilled to welcome El Bandido Yankee Tequila to professional drag racing,” Oehler said in a press release. “Our strategic alliance with the brand will aid in distribution efforts across the remaining 2022 NHRA National event stops as well as bring brand awareness through our racing initiatives on track.”

El Bandido Yankee Tequila has two product offerings, a Blanco and Reposado tequila with a third product, Tequila Anejo hitting the market soon. The branding and label reflect its deep ties to the renowned Jalisco (Mexico) region, along with its playful depiction of a mysterious bandido who's always ready to chase down fun and raise a glass in celebration.

With founder Jim Bob Morris, a former NFL player, and NHL Hall of Famer Chris Chelios, sports are in the brand’s DNA.

“We view this as a key sponsorship that can both help propel the great tradition of NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Racing, and also to spotlight El Bandido Tequila in the United States, and beyond,” Morris said in the press release. “The marriage of these two great brands will find growth as we creatively align and cross promote. The future is bright for this partnership.”

Chelios concurred with Morris.

“Sponsoring Pro Stock (Motorcycle) Racing will be great for the launch of El Bandido Yankee. The Spirits’ business is all about building relationships, and with Pro Stock (Motorcycle) racing we think we can win together,” Chelios said in the release.

In 2021, Oehler had one win in Las Vegas, but struggled at the end of the season and finished 10th in the points standings. In 2022, he is 11th in the points standings.

These results came on the heels of his solid performance in the COVID-19 limited 2020 season where he finished seventh in the points and had one win at the first race in Indianapolis that season.

A special Flyin’ Ryan meet and greet presented by El Bandido Yankee Tequila will take place July 14 at Hooters Restaurant located at 2610 S Parker Rd, Aurora, Colo., 80014 from 6-8 p.m. (MT). All are welcome to attend. For those guests who are 21 and older, free samples of El Bandido Yankee Tequila will be available.
