NHRA officials announced today that Simpson Performance Products, a well-established name in motorsports safety, has been named the title sponsor of the NHRA Safety Safari. This multi-year partnership is set to commence with the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Previously the presenting sponsor for NHRA's first responders, Simpson Performance Products has a longstanding commitment to safety in North American motorsports. For over 60 years, the Simpson NHRA Safety Safari has been an integral part of events, serving as the first full-time team dedicated to safety. Comprising over 40 individuals at each NHRA national event, the Safari team fulfills critical roles, responding promptly to on-track emergencies and ensuring the competition-ready status of every NHRA circuit track.

As part of the multi-year title partnership, Simpson branding will be prominently displayed across the Simpson NHRA Safety Safari fleet, which includes multiple dually trucks and big rig tractors. Additionally, the Safety Safari staff at each NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series event will be outfitted in Simpson safety gear, including fire jackets, fire pants, helmets, gloves, and boots.

During NHRA's Salute to First Responders, which takes place before the opening round of eliminations on Sundays at every NHRA national event, the Simpson NHRA Safety Safari will be duly recognized. Working in alignment with other emergency and medical responders, the Safari team plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of drivers and race teams.
