Top Fuel team racer Buddy Hull, at this year's Dodge Power Brokers U.S. Nationals held at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, will unveil a transformation of his team, transitioning from the traditional Methanol Moonshine/Renegade Race Fuels dragster to the HULL'K Top Fuel dragster as a tribute to one of his beloved superheroes, The Incredible Hulk.

"The HULL'K Top Fuel dragster is all about the kids. I want to get kids excited, and it's all about the next generation," said Hull, a former professional powerlifter. "We need to capture the attention of young fans. The HULL'K theme aligns with my last name and personality, so it just came to me one day."

This season, Hull's Top Fuel dragster has had two distinct personalities. The recent Bruce Banner version replaced an earlier Hulk-like incarnation, which presented challenges for Hull. Together with crew chief Mike Guger, Hull has worked diligently in their shop since Chicago, fine-tuning the HULL'K Top Fuel dragster to make a strong impact in Indianapolis.

"We faced some challenges earlier this season, but Mike and I meticulously examined every part of this dragster, and we have it figured out," Hull said. "We can't go from where we started to running low 3.70s right away, but we now have a race car that can deliver mid-3.70s times without causing damage. While I have several fan appearances scheduled leading up to the race, once Friday night qualifying commences, our focus will be completely on the business at hand."

Hull relishes the opportunity to expand his Top Fuel program and aims to eventually compete full-time, pending the necessary funding.

"I love the challenge of building this program both on and off the track. We are collaborating with marketing partners nationwide," said Hull, who frequently showcases local companies on his race car. "My objective is to attract new fans, and the HULL'K car represents just the beginning of my ideas. We have a few more surprises planned for races in the Countdown that will be truly exciting."
